At Cala Salionç, the afternoon begins when the towels are packed away. That is when the beach bar opens, next to the tennis, padel, football and basketball courts, and when people come up from the beach for a drink as the light fades. The conversation goes on there into the night, and that is also where the summer festival shows take place.
This watercolour is that place: the end of a beach day on the Costa Brava, to keep on your wall for the rest of the year.
